Lots of artists were asking me about my studio easel so I made a video explaining how I put it together. It takes a trip to Home Depot for the key component, a 1/4” - 20 Zinc Plate Insert Nut (4- $4), also needed:1. Gatorboard 3/16”2. Plywood or wood board 3/4” or greater thickness 3. Gorilla Glue4. A Drill and 11/32”drill bit 5. Ball Head tripod with cleat (1/4-20)6. A metal file if insert isn’t flush with wood on bottom. The insert is slightly wider than 3/4”I have made 3 boards like this up to full sheet size.I can’t recommend a ball head. I bought this large one used on Craigs List.
