I am using Beva 371 form Conservator Products to dry mount finished watercolors on to a Gatorboard substrate by using an ordinary iron. After mounting, watercolors can be framed in a plein air from much like an oil painting. By using dry heat instead of acrylic gels for mount my watercolors I am avoiding any risk of harming the artwork. The result is completely flat and archival. The artwork can be removed by reheating the Beva 371 film.It is expensive by great results.
